We are sure you must have enjoyed our previous article on the crazy laws in the United States. We are starting where we left off.
1. California
We are dumbstruck on levels when it comes to this law. For starters, we didn’t know that frog-jumping competitions were such an active sport in the state. California is known for a lot of great things. But frog-jumping competition was surely not what we thought would be high upon that list. The competition even has a law that goes along with it. Wait for it; the state says that frog that died as a result of a frog-jumping competition cannot be eaten if it dies as a result of the competition. We know that frogs are a delicacy, but we didn’t think it required such legislation to go along with it.
2. Colorado
DUI is a horrible thing to commit. Driving under the influence can lead to a number of issues, not just for the person driving but also for general public. For once we understand this law and don’t think it should be mentioned here. But it is really funny to not include in this series. In Colorado, it is against the law to ride a horse while under the influence. We are researching further into this to find out some interesting stories that lead to the inception of this law.
3. Connecticut
There are some crazy conditions that need to be met to pass a certification course. Say the extensive tests for acquiring a driving license or the ridiculously hard evaluation criteria to get a gun; sorry, for a minute we forgot we were talking about the US. In Connecticut, a law exists that states that a pickle is not a pickle unless it bounces. That makes sense, but our only question is that whether every pickle in the state is bounced on a surface to confirm its pickleness.
4. Georgia
Sundays are the best. You get to go out with your family and friends and have some fun along the way as well. Talking about having fun; nothing beats having an ice cream cone on a hot Sunday afternoon. But if you are going to buy an ice cream cone in Georgia, just make sure that you don’t place it in your back pocket while paying the cashier or for that matter at any time. It is against the law to place your ice cream cone in your back pocket in Georgia.
