Crazy Laws in United States

broken image

We can’t believe the kind of support we have been getting for these articles. This article would mark our 5th entry into this series, and we’d like to thank you for all the love and support. Today, we will be looking at the States whose name starts with M; we have actually split the M series into two parts since there are just too many States with the letter M and too many crazy laws to cover.

  1. Maine: To most people, Christmas is a beautiful time. A lot of people have Christmas decorations up for a while before they take it down. The reason could be that it is vacation time and you don’t want to get around to it, or you don’t want to let go of the Christmas cheer. Well, whatever be the case, make sure you’re super sneaky about it if you are living in the State of Maine. In Maine, it is against the law to keep such decorations up after January 14th. We understand entirely, how could anyone have the right to decorate their house for Christmas for so long?
  2. Maryland: It is a bright Sunday morning, and you are looking to go for a jog or take your dog to the park. And you want to beat the heat by wearing a sleeveless shirt to the park; well, DON’T. The State of Maryland has one of the craziest laws we have ever come across. And for crying out loud, this is not a third world country or one that has strict religious laws, but in the State of Maryland, it is against the law to wear a sleeveless shirt in the park. Do you know what the best part is? You can be fined $10 for defying the law. What even.
  3. Massachusetts: Explosive items aren’t something that people should dabble in for obvious reasons; for starters, it can explode. We would totally understand if a State prohibits its citizens from owning explosive items, but the State of Massachusetts prohibits its citizens from owning an explosive golf ball. Umm, we feel the law in itself isn’t the problem but the craziness arises when a state vehemently prohibits one specific item. Wouldn’t have been easy to ban all explosive devices? Well, we suppose we can’t expect logic when it comes to guns and explosives when it comes to the United States.
